EP Agency has again been named amongst the most innovative and outstanding in the Australian events industry, as finalists in two categories for the independently-judged, annual Australian Event Awards to be presented in November this year.
The Australian Event Awards are the most respected national awards program designed to recognise excellence, reward innovation and unite the Australian Events industry.
EP Agency has been selected as finalists in the award categories for both Event Manager of the Year and Best Sporting Event. Being chosen from hundreds of entries from a diverse range of businesses around Australia is testament to EP Agency’s continued excellence in their field.
For the second consecutive year EP Agency is a finalist for Australian Event Manager of the Year, which EP Agency proudly won in 2012. This award recognises an individual or business that has delivered an event or events in Australia at a consistently exceptional level over a 12 month period. As the current Australian Event Manager of the Year, EP Agency has continued to be an excellent ambassador for the Australian events industry, through continually committing to encourage clients to pursue innovative events as part of their overall marketing strategies.
The second finalist category is Best Sporting Event for the Paspaley Polo in the City series in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide. EP Agency has managed this high profile event for 4 consecutive years for Polo Enterprises Australia. It comprises 5 professional polo tournaments held in 5 states over 5 weekends and involves some of Australia’s best polo players, hundreds of polo ponies and attendance of over 12,000 guests across all States. Paspaley Polo in the City is over a year in the planning, has a complex combination of variables including the construction of small hospitality cities in park locations as well as coordinating thousands of guests, hundreds of corporate sponsors, polo ponies, players and umpires.
Amy Merriman, the Managing Director of EP Agency, says “we are very excited and honoured that our work has been recognised by the eminent judges in these awards. It is a credit to our team to be finalists in two categories along with the other talented nominations. It has also come at a great time for EP Agency, as we recently reached a special milestone in the business; we have clocked up over 1,000 events and projects in less than 13 years. This is something that we are extremely proud of.”
Johnny Allen, Foundation Director of the Australian Centre for Event Management, says “This Awards program now covers accolades for state of the art venues and services through to education and training programs. It celebrates our most talented event entertainers, achievements in design and production, in conferencing and exhibitions through to the most exacting execution of international sporting events. It’s a true reflection of Australian excellence in the events arena. The 2013 finalists should all be proud of the invaluable contribution they are making to Australia’s highly successful events industry.”
The Australian Event Awards Industry Night of Nights will be held at Doltone House, Hyde Park in Sydney’s CBD on Tuesday 19th November, providing national recognition and celebration of outstanding achievements across the whole of Australia’s thriving events industry, from small-scale events in regional Australia to multi-million dollar festivals and public events.
