Australian Turf Club Heritage Exhibition

A beautifully curated walk down memory lane for guests to celebrate Australian Racing heritage at the Australian Turf Club.

To design and construct an exhibition of The Australian Turf Club’s heritage items including paintings, artefacts and video recordings. The goal was to create a setting that was sympathetic to an historical display and was engaging and inviting for visitors.

EP Agency created a bespoke gallery and exhibition within the Bowen Library at Maroubra. The exhibition consisted of four surrounding walls, which featured a combination of both plasma screens and recessed shelving. The screens displayed rolling historic film and photographic footage in front of an artwork backdrop of Royal Randwick Racecourse from the mid 1940’s.

Visitors to the exhibition were also treated to an inaugural viewing of artwork and artefacts that reflect Australia’s racing history at a special launch event.

The exhibition gave guests the unique opportunity to experience defining moments of the ‘Sport of Kings’ in Australia.

Being given an opportunity to exhibit a sample of the ATC Heritage Collection at a local library we asked EP Agency to design a museum style background to best display the artwork and objects.  What they came up with completely transformed the space, and definitely met the brief. They were very efficient and a delight to work with.
