Network 10 Carousel
Creating an extremely popular experiential activation with racegoers and celebrating Network 10 as the new broadcasting home of the Melbourne Cup.
To create a light-hearted, fun and engaging consumer experience for the Network 10 brand to feature at the Spring Racing Carnival in Melbourne. The main objective was to bring awareness of Network 10 as the new broadcasting partner for racing in Australia.
EP Agency brought race-goers the ultimate attraction – the Network 10 Carousel! The team designed and built a custom-built 360-degree rotating photo opportunity brimming with the brand colours of 10’s unique TV channels.
Nine custom-moulded horses sat on a rotating stage, the ceiling decorated in material dyed to match specific client brand colours and draped in alternate colours. Mirrored panels were installed in the centre in the centre, framed with festoon lighting while an oversized pink ball with the Network 10 logo sat high on top, visible from all around the racecourse.
After the excitement of a ‘spin and photo’, racegoers were able to relax on colourful branded bean bags under market umbrellas on the adjacent lawn area, while a printed media wall added further brand presence and yet another photo opportunity. Network 10 hosts dressed in bright pink boiler suits were at the ready to welcome racegoers, deliver key brand messages, assist with photographs and ensure crowd control. The carousel was activated at Flemington within a precinct called The Park – a ‘fairground’ for consumer engagement where many brands execute to this captive audience.
