Schlumberger global Conference - Aim High, Win Together
Seamless delivery of an unforgettable and uniquely Australian experience for international corporate delegates.
EP Agency was engaged to manage an annual international conference program in Sydney, for over 180 guests from over 40 different countries. The key objective was to create opportunities for delegate networking and learning from the client’s senior management teams. The multi-day event involved four days of conferencing, workshops, networking and team building as well as nightly special events. Leading up to the 4 day program, with an Aim High, Win Together theme, EP Agency was tasked with the concept and delivery of the event identity including design of the logo and all event collateral such as registration website, smartphone app, PowerPoint presentations, conference animations, lanyards and name badges to be used throughout the program.
International guests enjoyed a private airport transfer to the Sheraton on the Park where an Indigenous-themed cocktail party awaited. A custom-designed Australian experience with a didgeridoo performance, interactive dot painting and music workshops, the evening featured a gourmet menu of locally sourced produce.
The next 3 days of conferencing, including 12 workshops, were held in the Grand Ballroom. A bespoke 25m wide image projection screen and interactive technology allowed guests to ask questions and engage with panel speakers, including Australian sailing legend Tony Mowbray.
Each afternoon and evening included unique team-building and networking. First, guests enjoyed a convict-themed excursion to Fort Denison featuring a traditional Rum tasting bar, Australian wines, cheeses and a charcuterie station.
Staff dressed as English guards served canapés among rustic theming such as oil lamps, wooden furniture, barrels and hay bales. The following afternoon guests received personalised caps and spray jackets to sail on Sydney Harbour. Later they were joined on Bondi beach for an Aussie BBQ by Olympian Jim Walker.
The final night saw a black-tie event at heritage-listed Strickland House, decorated with driftwood, orchids, seashells and festoon lights. Guests were entertained by a Closing Ceremony video, Sydney Children’s Choir performance and finale fireworks accompanied by award-winning songstress Christine Anu.
Guests departed heralding this as the “Best Program they had ever experienced anywhere in the world”.
